Brake Light mod idea.....any ideas?
Hey all,
I had this bright idea the other day for a neat effect to do with the center high mount brake light on my spoiler (the LED one). Recall, first, the 1980's TV show Knightrider. Then, imagine your 3rd brake light LED doing the same side-to-side light pattern as KITT's (the black car in Knightrider.
Sounds neat, right?
Now, how could one acheive this effect, using their 3rd brake light on their spoiler?

they sell scrolling marquee's for your 3rd brakelight at like ricers.com...which will cover all your needs.
btw, this is illegal and will get you pulled over in a jiffy with a nice big ticket.

It would take a basic stamp and some programming (although this has probably already been done); plus you have to be able to access each of the led's individually which might be a pain (to open up the lightbar).
Yeah it's illegal but I can't imagine anything more than an improper equipment ticket which is a non-moving violation, which is no big deal (aka you fix the problem, take it to a sheriffs station or some ****, and pay 5 bux). I would think you wouldn't have this on all the time, and depending where you live you shouldn't get harrased. You're probably better off with one of those kit-type looking "alarm lights" for the front of your car, or interior.

You only have to pay $5? I know $10 isn't that much, but why does California always get screwed?
