Default i got a line input converter thing and the wires and i wanna run a stock head unit

where do i connect the remote wire and can you link me to a thread on how to take out my hu in a 99 civic
do i need to take it out?

I install line out converters behind the deck 99% of the time for 2 reasons. One, because it's cleaner tapping wires there rather than at the rear speakers, and Two, because if you ever upgrade your deck in the future, you don't need to run RCA's to the back, because they're already there....


As far as your remote wire, you can grab switched 12v behind the radio, too. Otherwise, just tap a switched 12v at the fusebox...

What he said also hondas have a acc. term on fuse box. 94

well i dont ever plan on upgrading the deck so ill just run it behind and that leaves my last question does my hu need to come out for this?

You may be able to unplug the harness without removing the HU, but its better to remove it
All you need is a phillips [star] screwdriver, remove trim from under unit ,locate 2 backbrace screws , remove, pull HU out.
