Default Shaving Antenna, Wipers, Etc.

I want to shave a few things off the car for a clean look.

I know I want to weld in metal, but am unsure how to go about it.

When putting the metal in place do I need to cut it to the size of the hole I'm trying to fill? Then clamp and weld?

What do I use to grind down the welds?

yeh, no handles is too naked to me, but no keyholes is just right. rear wiper removed b/c hatch falls and hits me in the head, antenna, i like....but drip rails might get filled in w/metal

they barely hold water anyways, might as well get them gone and fill it flush

i'm pretty sure you cut metal to fit, tack weld it, be careful not to overheat it, then grind welds down and use filler to make it perfect

All you do is cut the metel so its as big as the hole. Tack it in a few spots so it doesnt move, then weld around the rest so that it doesnt have any gaps. Then grind the welds down smooth.

I actually made my metal plate exactly the same size as the hole on the antenna, and used a magnet to hold it on there while i tac welded it. Finished the weld and ground it all down smooth then body filled the rest. Its fairly easy if you can weld decent enough.
