Immobilizer question for 00 si
I am going turbo in the near future and want to eventually run Hondata in my 00si. I have a p28 sitting in my closet and want to know what I need to do, to put it in. I know I need the conversion harness, but how do I get around the immobilizer? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
99-00 si's dont' have immobilizers, but even if they did you're removing the functionality of it by removing the ecu.
obd2b-obd1 conversion harness (see boomslang), ecu and hondata is all you'll need...

pretty sure it's just the 00+gsr&itr (not positive though, part of me thinks the itr had it earlier). Absolutely positive that the 99-00 si didn't have it. good way to check is to call your local audio shop and ask to have autostart put in and if they either need a key and/or an extra module then the car has an immobilizer(or it's a diesel

a lot of honda/acura have imobilizers installed in ther ecu's. i know that 99-00/01 inteagra b series ecu's have imobilzers. there is a way of taking it out tho....

not talking about the same thing... the harness is to go from obd2b to obd1. if the ecu has an immobilizer, in no way does the harness bypass it... the immobilizer has to be removed from the ecu itself...
