Default Pacesetter

I want to replace my cat. My race shop sayed that cats are all basically built the same. They recommended pacesetters even though a lot of people think they suck. Is this true? About cats being made the same, not if they suck. Well, I guess whether they really suck or not too.

Stay away from the Pace-******* stuff. Personal experience speaking here.
Look into the Carsound/Magnaflow cats. They seem to be decent.

They may all have the same components but it's how they are put together and the grade of materials that makes a difference. I heard Pacesetter products rust out very quickly and I suspect the assembly is of bad quality with cheap welds and obstructions to flow.

Your RACE SHOP recommended pacesetter? Damn dude, you need to head somewhere else. That would be like them recommending APC and Tenzo-ARGH!

That's the way it is. They order a bunch of **** and then try to get rid of it.

Yeah don't go pacesetter (or paceshitter LMFAO). I would just get a magnaflow or **** man put in a straight pipe section, but hold on to your factory cat for emissions time. APC = Absolute Piece of Crap, BTW (IMO). And like lsvt3c, find another shop to do business with.
