I was thinking of getting the poly bushing kit from energy suspension. Ioes anyone have a set on their car? I was told that they squeak and make annoying noises. I just ordered the Z-10 radius rod kit and want to make my suspenion totally dialed. Is the improvement worth the time of doing it? I imagine it is time consuming. Let me know what you guys think. Oh yeah I autocross, do a little dragin, lots of spirited street driving, and drive to Canada every year. It gets parked in the winter. I figure these might effect advise.
I love them. Actually between everything that I have done, the bushings I noticed the most. They do not squeak as long as you put that grease on them supplied by Energy Sus. I have had them on my car for about 2 yrs now. They are awesome. Kinda a pain to put on, but definately worth it.
IMHO they made more of a difference than my spirngs and struts. I have had for 2 years now and have regreased them once. In the summer they are quiet but in the winter they are loud no matter what I do. It would probably do be just like mine since it gets colder here and in ohio then it does in cali. You get used to it though
put them on you'll love it.....best mod that i did to my chassie yet....its hard work putting them in but when its done ......you'll thank yourself its a whole new ride.worth the time an effort.....JUST DO IT
me and my friend are putting them on his 90 integra right now its true they are a pain in the *** so far but they will be very worth it. we installed grease fittings on the lower control arm and the trailing arm where the large important bushings go to insure that if the bushings start to sqeak that all we have to do is get a grease gun and just grease them up. i think its a good idea to get them.
I was told the black ones will not squeak because they have graphite in them. So don't get the colored ones. I havent had mine squeak, but i tell you what spend the money to have them pressed in. I paid 6 bucks each for them to be pressed out and in. There were 14 in total, so it came to like 84 bucks plus tax at firestone. I did the rear trailing arms which were a pain. I took a key saw and cut the metal mount out of the inside. I then took a drill bit and drilled holes all the way around the rim of the rubber mount. Then i took and pried the rubber out, and took a 2 1/2 inch sanding wheel and the drill and sanded the rubber out. The rear trailing arms are easy as hell to press in, i used a c clamp. The only trick is getting it to go in straight, it tends to want to go in crooked. Other than that use the grease they provide and it goes in pretty easy.
