Default sprint vs. Nuespeed springs opinions please

I already have sprint springs a friend gave me but was wondering if I should buy the Nuespeed springs.

Sprints=purple, free, but I don't know how much they drop the car.

Nuespeed=yellow, $140.00 and the drop 2.25front and 2back.

These will be going on with kyb agx struts/shocks= $300.00

What springs would you recommend and would either be a pretty good setup...not doing auto x or anything just for the look and maybe the drag strip when I get my motor.

i've used both. i say get the sprint because they had a smooth ride feel and they will not sag over time.

otherwise i would suggest some tein springs. bro has it on his coupe and loves them compared to his vis coilovers.

Yes I would also like to know what has the best ride? Also do those prices seem like they are right?

Neuspeed springs ride well when matched with good shocks. In your case you have AGX's, so I'm sure they should ride well. I have friends that have or had Sprint springs and both complained at times about them but not a great deal. I have Neuspeed Race Springs myself and the ride isn't the greatest, but that problem has to do with me riding on 10 year old shocks .. Hope this helps!

I have Neuspeed race springs and kyb agxs on my hatch. I think that it's a great combo. Correct me if im wrong but I belive that the neuspeed race springs have the highest spring rates avaliable when it comes to lowering springs (minus custom rate springs). The agx's pair great with the springs and make for a great ride and amazing performance. I drove this setup well over 100 miles a day on my commute for over a year now and I don't have a single complaint.

id keep the sprints....ive had two sets of neuspeeds and both sagged considerably in the front over the course of a year. Also, i believe the purple sprints u are referring to offer the same drop as the neuspeed races. BUT if u definetely dont want the sprints..get some hr's. i have em now and love them

I use Neuspeed Race on Tokico whites. Awesome combo. Go with Neuspeed. Just have a camber kit ready. Your car is going to be dropped considerably.

I use Sprints and love them. They're mated with Koni Yellows. I've had them for four years now without any problems or sagging issues. Keep in mind that Sprints aren't really a performance spring. They're made to lower your car and retain a comfortable ride. Neuspeeds are more sporty and made more for the handling enthusiast.

basically make sure you know your purpose for your car, is it for looks, or perhaps is it for auto-crossing, whatever it is you plan on doing with the car should directly effect what springs you plan on getting...

Thanks for the info guys, I just went out and looked at the springs and realized they are BLUE...Does anyone know how much of a drop the blue sprints are? Depending on that I think is what I am gonna base my final decision on.

If it's blue then it's most likely their 2.5"/2.25" (front/rear) model. Those are what I have, and I love the drop. Check out my webpage for pics.

Personally I'd go with the Neuspeed Race Springs over Sprints anyday. You will get a smoother ride with the Sprints but the Neuspeed are much stiffer and overall better handling.I have my Race Springs with KYB GR2's and I can't complain at all my EK Hatch handles like a dream and the ride isn't that bad at all.Just my 2cents.

Either way am I gonna need a camber kit, I was gonna put one on later in time but would it be best to buy one and put one on. With the money I save from not buying the nuespeeds and just using the sprints I have i could buy a camber kit. What do ya think?

Again, it depends on how you intend to use the car. Both springs are ENTIRELY different beasts like I wrote previously. I don't track my car; it's my daily driver. I like the comfort of the Sprints. My car still handles better than stock, but it won't compare to a car equipped with race-ready springs. So figure out how you want the car to behave and how you plan on using the car, and go from there.

On a related note, I do not use a camber kit. My front is -1.1 with the rear at -2.8. The front is only -1/10 off from stock (the limit allows up to -1 in the front).

Daniel, on your car, do you have an aftermarket wheel and tire combo? because i am looking for lowering springs myself and am wondering, if the Sprints offer a level of comfort not found in others, i think i might do the same...but i have an 18 inch wheel in this car, and the tire is thin, but the ride is horrible because of the shitty coilovers it came with, and i dont think spending over 1200 is worth for a set of DTM coilovers because this car is for function, not for show like my others...

Yeah, I have 15" rims with 205/50-15s. I got them used off another H-T member. But with the thick sidewall of the 15" tire, the ride is pretty smooth. It's still stiffer than stock, but compared to the H&R Sports I had on my old Accord, the ride is much softer due to the progressive-rates of the Sprints. They're not too bad in the handling department actually. If I tighten up my Koni Yellows, the car doesn't do too poorly.

well thats the ******* right there, i have an 18 inch tire with a 35 sidewall thickness, and i am trying to get the best ride possible, out here in Jersey the roads are horrible and you cant enjoy a ride of 1 mile without having each and every bump channel its energy to the roots of your teeth, its horrible...

I think you're **** out of luck, hahaha. Yeah, those 18s will definitely hurt the comfort aspect of the ride.
