your not talking a difference in HP, your talking a difference in efficiancy... No matter what you have done to the motor the merge collector will always be more efficiant there for will net more of a gain...

Get the merge, dont half *** it...

Does this header come with the flexpipe btw? Or do you have to do some custom work?

Stainless is overrated. Get a functional coating on that header.

Stainless is not "overated" stainless exhibits superior properties in soooo many ways over mildsteel

Mild Steel is a great material for making mock ups it often does not do very well in high heat (even all motor) and high vibration applications. It also will break down and corrode over time even with a "functional coating"

I can't think of a way that stinaless isn't superior to mild steel

Stainle<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by es_squared &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">on a stock motor the dif is about 2whp</TD></TR></TABLE>

The difference is not always 2 WHP. On properly engineered header with a merge collector gains of anywhere from 5-15 WHP on a 4 cylinder engine are achievable as long as your engine is developed the properly

One of my friends showed me his custom Prospeed header for his H22A/EG. It's stainless steel and I had to recommend him to get it coated because it was already showing rust and he had just picked it up.

Also, I noticed that the flange part that bolts onto the head was severly distorted. I sent him to another buddy to get it milled flat.

So be sure to get it coated and check the surface to see if its flat. His was in the shape of a W. There was about an 1/8 of an inch gap in the middle and on one of the ends. Probably due to pulling and tugging while the upper pipes were already welded. I really can't believe it was distorted becase the flange is really heavy gauge metal.

Besides that, the header was beautiful. Equal length with step design. The 4-1 collector was freaking awesomely welded.

I have a few accociates that are employed by them, and we are also working on some projects with them as we speak. After all they are 2 miles away from us

You do not need to coat stainless steel if it was stainless it shouldn't have been rusting hence the word stainless.

Second if the flange they are using is stainless it probably warped during the welding process. We don't recommend stainless flanges to the "amateur fabricator" not saying in anyway that pro speed are amateurs. It is just somehting that can and will happen if close attention is not payed to the heat used during the welding process.

Hit the search function and type prospeed header, i got pics of mine posted. No warpage, no "rust" and it will turn pretty golden when it gets hot. I figured if this is going to be the last header ill ever have to buy for this car, may as well make it a bad *** one.
