CAM GEARS, ARE THEY WORTH IT???
I have a 94 prelude si vtec with 52k miles. Want MORE POWER!! I have been told about cam gears and pulley sets. I was also told about ignition replacement. Has anybody done any of them? Are they worth it? I was also told that with the cam gears or pulley's the harmonic balancer is in danger, is that true?? Thanks
harmonic balancer would be in danger if you change your crank pulley....I believe...
As far as power...pulley sets wont do much for you unless you have a higher modded engine.
You need to start with the basics CAI, Header, Exhaust. Then after that its up to you where you want to go with it...
Use the SEARCH function and do some research before you just make a post like this broe...just some advice

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=749544 Just search for whatever you want to know about...It really works!
cam gears won't help much unless you have aftermarket camgears or turbo'ed car where you need to retard timin or something or N/A car where you want to advance.
start with the basics first like intake, header, exhaust, pulleys and then once you get some headwork or cams you might want to consider cam gears. but until then they wont do anything but look good
I found pulley sets from both AEM and UR, which is better? The AEM are $149 and the UR are $310. Are there more pulley's in the UR set or are they really worth that much more money? Are they the same thing?? Thanks
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT purchase any aem cam gears that are used from ebay. A lot of shitty ones are floating around that are machined incorrectly and will not work.

I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT CAM GEARS. I bought AEM underdrive pulleys and was wondering if they are easy to install myself or if there are instructions to put them in. Thanks

Chillax homie, your topic clearly states that you're asking if cam gears are worth getting... if you're running out of basic bolt-ons to do... then yes they are, worth it, but only if you intend on buying aftermarket cams... pulleys are probably the same way, some people find them more useful than not, some people think they're a waste of money, but i'd say if you plan on going hardcore on your motor do whatever you can, just stay away from the crank pulley from what i've heard
And as far as installation, I'd say depending on whether or not your mechanically inclined get it done somewhere unless you know your way around your h22
Hope I helped, good luck with all that man.
