Is this swap a direct drop? my sister's boyfriend wants to know if this swap will drop right into a del sol using the proper mounts, cuz i know a most b series fit, so i woudln't see why the b17 wouldn't, the b17a will be coming out of a 93 GSR. TIA.

Yes, a B series is a B series, all the engine block mounting points are the same.

 

damn, i own a EF, is the del sol going to be suffering with 3 mounts as well?

i was looking at hasport.com and they have 2 kits, 1 for cable and 1 for hydro, i don't understand, i thought del sol's only came in hydro's... or is that just for preference for swaps?

just get as many of the mounts off the b17 as you can. and all the same rules that would apply to swapping it into a 92-95 civic would apply to a del sol. the only exception is you MUST use the shift linkage from a del sol VTEC.

All of the del sols have mounting points the same as 92-95 Civics (including the 96/97).

The B17 will go in there with the proper transmission/axles/etc... All factory mounts, nothing custom is needed.
