Could be you have air in the ABS lines. They are two separate systems. Normal brakes can be nice and firm with the posiblilty of having air still in the ABS lines...that could cause a light. Check your sensors on the wheels too, never know what you coulda picked up on the road.
Far as the codes it should be under the glove box, at least it is on my 96 Accord EX. Look for a little blue 2 prong plug connected to a dust cover without any wires. Make sure you got the right plug and ONLY THEN bridge it with a paper clip or something. Turn the ignition and your check engine light should start blinking. Check your manual!
OR...go to an Advanced auto and they'll hook up a scanner for free. Comes in handy with OBD2 (which I doubt you have on a '93).

anyone else?
i need to know where i can jump for codes... light comes on after a minute of driving,, when i shut off the car and turn it back on it is fine.. after a minute od friving again, it comes back on.. the brakes do lock up when the light is on so abs is not working.

what do you mean anyone else? Beggars can't be choosers. I told you dude go to advanced auto and they'll scan the codes if you don't want to do that then suit yourself but don't go crying to the forums.
You got air or something in the ABS where it deactivated itself. Check it out but no-ones gonna fix it for you; you gotta do some detective work.

It appears that you are a victim of a leaky abs unit. Most likely anyway. Schmitey is right you need to jump the wire as if you were going to diagnose the check engine light and pay attention to the abs light instead. See its funny, the same procedure but different lights. That is the way you check abs malfunctions.

Three blinks total? Thats probably a code one. Try bleeding the system.

You need the following:
3/8" clear vynle tubing
clear small bottle
10mm wrench
1 quart of brake fluid
0. Refill your abs unit with honda brake fluid
1. Install the clear tubing on the bleeder bolt and dip the other end into a clear bottle with brake fluid.
2. start your engine
3. open the bleeder bolt and close as soon as the fluid comes out is clear with no air bubble. It comes out fast so opening and closing the bleeder bolt must be done fast to avoid emptying the reservior. The res. capacity is around 300ml so opening the bleeder bolt a sec too long will empty the res. and introduce air into the system.
4. After the bleeder bolt is close, shut off engine and refill the res. to max.

here is a test for u to do.. jack the car up by the front... let it outta get and get the tires to spin. if the abs light comes on its one of ur front 2 wheel sensors. if it doesnt come on try the same with the back wheels but u have to keep the car in park and manually move the back wheels one at a time. i just had the same problem and i found it was my right rear wheel that way.. good luck and tell me what u find.
I have the same problem with my 93 EX. Interestingly, it does not come on while in reverse. Also, it does not come on until I start moving forward at more than idle speeds. Kinda sounds like a wheel sensor, but don't know. I just recently got new front breaks. It started coming on just before that. Does that mean anything to anyone before I start with the other tests mentioned above?
