Default Turbo F22 Help

I'm planning on turboing my f22 in my prelude and am wondering how much boost I can run on a daily basis w/out blowing it to shreds. Basicly I'm not looking to beat a monster drag car but I'm looking to smoke a coulple of rich boys in corvettes and stuff while still maintaining drivability. What are the up sides and downsides of the f22 besides no vtec. Which really doesn't matter to me b/c I don't plan on staying at 7grand all day. thanks

f22s are sohc too. Rather than dumping all that money into turboing a motor that isnt that good, I suggest you just do and h22 or even an h23 swap. Youll get a 50-70 hp boost, which is about what the turbo would give you if you built up the motor. So ya, id swap it first. youll have to spend more than a few grand if you want an f22 to smoke a corvette, man.....a lot more. If you really wanted to go that far, swap an h22(or h23, h23 is better for turbo) then turbo it. Theyre just better motors.

F22 is cheap to boost... stick with the F22...you can up the boost easily.

Do a search in the Accord forum. A LOT of them boosted their F22's. Seems like it is a pretty good motor to FI.

I'd rather go with the f22 since I don't have the money to buy an h22 right off and then spend the money to turbo it. The amount of horse power that the h22 makes doesn't really seem that appealing to just buy the engine and not turbo it.

im stickin with my f22 i see it as why spend 3,000 or more on a swap when i could of spent that on the motor i have now and make it just as fast or faster. And yes ive heard an f22 is great for boosting.
