HOW DO YOU CLEAN AN HKS AIRFILTER
the foam will deteriorate over time. i've seen some f'd up ones. if its pretty new, but dirty, i assume you could use compressed air to dust it. K&N recharge kit is only good for cotton/gauze type media

u can use the cleaner but i wouldnt really recommend the oil. Like the other guy said u try compressed air to take out the dirt. Then use the cleaner!

i soaked my hks filter in dish soap, a small amout of engine degreaser, and alcohol. for like 45 min, then ran it under high pressure water like a sprayer on a hose, then threw it in the drier for 5 min, looks and performs brand new

Take it off, Hose it down, let it dry, put it back in.
OR you can do all that and use Sticky oil that you use for lawnmowers and ATV's, for extra filtration
