Speakers Blown
Well today I heard this weird noise like a voice coil popped. Then my system suddenly was hitting near as hard as it was. So I was like ****. Then I lost all bass. Pulled over checked everything with the system still on. Then opened the trunk then when I pushed in on the speakers they would try to hit and make this like really distorted noise. It would do it whenver I pushed on either of them there fucked arent they?
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!. You dont understand there a little over a month old. They hit so hard I dont want to have to send them back. I know what the problem is though. I should have listened to everyone. I bought audiobahn 1200Q. They definately killed I was hitting way harder than my friend with RF p3's. But my amp was only half way up I have a 1500 watt hifonics brutus. What caused this is it the amp or the fact is was Audiobahn. Now I know everyone hates audiobahn so dont turn this into a **** audiobahn thread. I just want to know was the brutus to brutal or is it just the speakers suck. I started to smell a bleach like smell as well. Could something been hooked up wrong I doubt it cause it worked fine for a month or so. I guess Im just going to have to get some Jl or RF. Cause I cant trust audiobahn the SQ wasnt really bad at all. They hit like crazy too but who wants speakers that only work for 2 months. Also my CD player wasnt wide open either.
can anyone explain how they were blown these speakers were 700 watts RMS and I had a 1500 what Brutus half way up. I mean I dont know wtf. This is the speaker though

turning the gain halfway up does not mean it is putting half the power out, it is not a volume ****, it is a gain -- they are used to match the signal output from your head unit to the amp
it sounds liek you seperated the voice coil. -- --- which means you need a new sub, if it's only a month old take it back to have it fixed under warranty.

Yep, it depends on the output voltage of your deck and how many volts the amp was designed to take.
