Default Porting head

Anyone ported their head and IM to the same size opening as the stock IM gasket? How was the gain in that?

Ive opened intake ports of the head up to the size of the gasket but Ive always left the IM flange/runner ports alone...

Air/fluid has an easier transition going from a smaller outlet into a slightly larger inlet...

Honestly, doing it yourself your most likely going to end up ruining the head... Id say leave well enough alone untill you have a professional port the head...

Any time Ive opened the chambers up on the intake side its because I was porting the full head... Intake, exhaust, chamber and bowl work but even then... Im still learning so My work wouldnt be as good as say a Tom Fujita or other experienced porters...
