front brakes tomorrow, any pointers?
Hey guys, i just got a set of front pads for my 91 civic dx hatch because my current pads are quite worn. The steering wheel tends to wobble from time to time at high speeds and when i press on the brakes, i hope the new pads will help this. Anyways, Ive never done them on my civic, anything good to know ahead of time? Should i get new rotors also? thanks

Like suggested, warped rotors would cause the vibration/wobble under braking. Some new rotors would address this.
If its doing that just driving at high speeds (off the brakes) there's something else you need to look at though... Could be time to re-balance the rim/tire assembly. Or if your using aftermarket rims that need hubcentric rings (but aren't), could be that the wheel is mounted off-center slightly. Could be other things too, but try those first.

turn the rotors or replace them

YUp, if not you will feel the same wobble.

You probably already started by now, but:
1) An impact driver to remove the two phillips-head screws in each rotor. Or else you will strip the heads trying to use a regular screwdriver.
2) A big enough channel-lock, pliers or c-clamp to compress the piston back in the caliper. Or you may not be able to put the caliper back in place with the new pads.
3) A friend to help you bleed the brakes.
4) A container of some sort to collect the old brake fluid.
5) Some tubing (about aquarium size) from the hardware store to connect between the bleeder and the container.
6) Brake cleaner, latex gloves, wire brush, rags, tools, etc. etc. etc.
