Im am on way now to try this block today with hopefully some good times.
this time dual fric. clutch, 2 1/4 all way out, cut head .40 we'll see

 

did you fall asleep at the line...j/k.....almost identical times when my hatch was stock with slicks..ran 16.327@82.61mph with 135k on the engine

I don't understand ,you went 16's with .40? Or are those stock times? Get a cam gear with .40 . 40 and a header should put you in the low 15's.

 

Sorry those were stock times, Sat afternoon The best I pulled was a high 15.
15.8 to be exact , but I should have came up a tooth and advanced the timming and my reaction could have better, but right on, Im selling the car now, im in tampa,fl.

 

A stock d16a6 should run those times. Rebuild and 40 over I guess low 15's, maybe better.

What other mods you have?
