Default Hooking up CD player but confusion in wire colour. Quick help needed

Hi just installing my CD player in my 1994 JDM EG9. Got power to the headunit. Im using wiring diagram off http://www.installdr.com but there seems to be a mistake with the diagram. It states that the wire for the Power Antenna is Brown with White Stripe but then it also says the Right Rear Speaker -ve terminal is also Brown with White Stripe.

Can anyone clear this up for me. I need the power antenna and right rear -ve wire colours. CHeers

The wire colors are correct, it is common to have 2 wire colors in the same harness that do different things. Well with everything disconnected, take a DMM and probe both wires. The power antenna will show a ground when not in use, the speaker will show nothing. Then again, if your factory harness is still in place, you can use the pin location to find the wire.

Yeah but the problem is i can only find one brown w/ white stripe wire. Hmm will do some testing. No one knows for sure what colour wire is power antenna?

put +12 Volts to it. if its the Ant. you will hear some motor noise.

or

take the 2 leads you think are the speaker wires, and "bump" them with a battery.
put one end of the battery to one wire and the other end to the other wire. if it is the speaker wires, you will hear a pop, or click from that speaker. ( you can also test polarity this way.... when the polarity is correct, neg of the battery, is on the negative speaker lead, and the + is on the positive speaker lead, the speaker will pop out away from the basket ... when it is backwards, the speaker will suck in to the basket)... just don't hold the battery to the speaker for too long ... ie less than a second.

good luck.
