do you really want that mirror finish? I thought making it that smooth would hinder flow as the air would "stick" to the side walls rather than flow better. Just wondering i've got a head build by Alaniz and it's not that shiny

thanks guys, NA/Turbo its a 9.2-1 turbo built bottom but will throw on a cometic to get the compression up and see if 13s in the 1/4 is possible on street tires. I am curious how the alantiz head compares to mine post some pix of it up!

I don't know if you can get an idea from this pic...it's all i have of it now it's still box'd up. I know that the exhaust ports of mine are more shiny than the intake ports...i'm guessing to promote some very light turbulance for mixing efficiency. Like i said i'm not an expert just some things i've heard and picked up from engineering course.

yeah I do agree exhaust should be shinyer then the intake, underneath where the valves are in the picture looks pretty nice... let me know when you get better pictures of the ports on each side so I can get a glance on how it's done from alantiz...

Yeah for sure this weekend i'll try to get some. You're work looks good and it's especially nice to see someone doing it themselves. I would be too afraid to mess it up!

thanks, ya it's hard to mess up really bad, usually its fixable but key is patients and its always good to have someone give you tips on what to get smooth etc. My dad helped me out on it and told me what to look for he had been doin v8 pnp's for years and from lookin at the head stock for about 30 minutes figured out all the key spots to get. thanks dad!
