Default Joing the CRX Army 88 Si

I got it for $1100. I have been working on it for about 2 months. It has 100K on it. The clutch is very bad. If I rev it to 3000 Rpm's or higher and let off the clutch and gas it. It should pee out right? But it just looses all its power and the RPM's dip down to 750 then slowly come back up, and then It acts normal. Is this all the clutch? Or is this just me being new to a 5 speed, or a combo of both?

2 years later:EDIT: This was my intro thread to H-T, but some how came back years later. Now its going to be my project log.

My crx is getting a Hmotorsonline B16a swap, K-sport springs, Konig Rewinds 15x7's, and some other goodies going in with in the next month. I will keep you all updated.

Nice ride. Second one is butt ugly. Anyway I do believe you are correct regarding the clutch. Exedy makes a nice unit...got it for under $100 and installed it myself (with help of course). Anyway good luck with your new ride.

I dunno, my car bogs if I keep it at 3000 and drop the clutch and I replaced mine like 6 months ago. If the rpms rose very quickly I would say your clutch is shot but if it bogs that means its gripping just not enough power to break teh tires loose.

My plans for it is to keep the d16a6 in it and I'm colecting pices for a home made turbo. Mabye pushing 5 Psi. I'll put some time in it and sell it in a year or two.
