me and my friend are trying to put on my springs and struts and broke the top part of the bolt off on the bottom of the strut.....any suggestions on how to get the rest of the bolt out? thanx

 

do you mean the bolt on the lower control arm that holds the strut/shock in place?

if yes then you are basically fucked. i have been in this situation 3 times now.

u can try drilling through the bolt but that didnt work for me. what i did was just cut between the shock fork and control arm through the bushing. then you have to get a new bushing and bolt ...

ok i cut the bolt and the bushing but now the peice in the middle wont come out ive been trying to knock it out with a hammer and a screw driver but its not budging!?

 

I had the same problem earlier this week. I used sawzall to cut the bolt and the bushing out. It took about 20 minutes with the sawzall. Good luck, remember you have to replace the bushing that will set you back 25 bucks plus 8 for a new bolt.
