Im between either keeping this rusty piece of ****, or finding a shell with no rust on the frame, either anotehr crx or ef hatch, preferably crx and transfering all my good stuff (suspension, engine, etc over) im having trouble finding a shell, but take a look at these pics, its gonna be a bitch to fix this. theres a major hole in teh rear, 1/4 panels gone, and my frame is rusted.

Check with some bodyshops in your area, maybe they can fix it?

 

the rear quarter will be titty... mine was the same (accept mine was also smashed in...) i fixed that **** up reall nice like dunn ya heard me hollaaaaaaaaaaaaa

as for the unibody... tough **** i have no idea what to do with that... shape some sheetmetal, do some cutting and raplce the piece... or leave it

 

Look for a new shell. I gave one away last night.

theres a 91 hf frame only here in Ks for 300.

 

Get a widebody kit and some altezza's and a neon plate frame. That will distract everyone from the nasty rust spots. Granny's will drop their panties when you roll past the bus stop.

i did get owned. i sold a rust-free 91 dx auto and bought this POS. now im back looking for another CRX. Once i move in July, i hope to have a 2door garage in which i can park my shell and my POS and just do it. learn how to do an engine swap, and i can do everything else. its depressing looking at that hole, knowing that somehting could fall thru it... someone please find me a shell... i hate red

i was gonna do teh 1/4s and teh hole, but then i figured, well, the frame is rusting, why bother? im about to get a 4th gen hatch for autox and have a backseat for my bitches, cause theyve been complaining lately. crx or civic shell, please send it my way, thanks, dave

 

yea well, thats my front bumper first of all, not to mention ur rear bumper and fender is flat red, and ur car doesnt sit at an even height, and oh yea, i didnt pay over a grand for a dohc ZC and bolt-ons to run mid-16s, lets hit atco raceway buddy, uve been puttin it off far too long beaatch.

 

Just get another shell dude, dont think a shell alone would cost too much

Besides I reckon fixing up all that rust would cost more than a new shell and the rust would eventually turn up again anyways.

 

Not if he did a quick Bondo job and if he new someone who could fix the whole.

get a body shop to bend you a new quarter panel piece to weld in... weld in a piece of metal into what looked like the sparte tire hole.

then paint it up.. dont get rid of a car that becomeing few and far between

i think you should sell it and search long and hard for a rust free REX, thats what i did, got a 91 with a fuct motor and 93 GSR rims/brakes for $750

the chances of that are slim. I've noticed that in the last 2 years, crx's have been becoming less and less easy to find. I use to see them all the time and now I never see another crx on the road.
