THSCC RallyCross @ Rockingham Dragway - Registration Open
As some of you locals know, THSCC has a new RallyCross program, and we're pleased to announce our first event at a new site - the 60 acre (!!) overflow parking field at Rockingham Dragway in southern NC!
We will probably have a pair of 60-80 second courses - should be a fun time
There is running water in the restrooms, and the concessions *may* be open.
Attendance has been low at prior events in Four Oaks, so we're trying to get word out about this event to try to fill up the event! Most cars out there are street cars, but open-top cars require an SCCA Solo-1 rollbar. See the info and rules for more...

Rockingham Dragway
Rockingham, NC
Street Tires Only!
No Rally Tires, No Snow Tires, No Knobby Tires Of Any Kind!
Come join us as THSCC holds our first rallycross at the Rockingham Dragway site. We will not be using the dragway itself for the event, but a huge field - 60 acres! - on their property. We promise a fast, flowing course, so go ahead and sign up, and bring a friend! In fact, we will be offering a $5 discount to any former THSCC rallycross participant who brings a new person with them, and we'll extend that discount to the new recruit as well! Sorry, but as our expenses will higher than usual for this event, we cannot extend this discount to everyone.
Following is some important event information:
NO RALLY TIRES!
"Legitimate" summer or all-season tires only will be permitted. This is a term of our contract with Rockingham Dragway, and we will be enforcing it! Please read our rules to avoid problems at the event. If you have questions about your particular tires, please feel free to ask.
HOTELS
Rooms are available at Hampton Inn in Southern Pines on US 1 for the special rate of $59/night. This is about a 20 minute drive to/from Rockingham. 910-692-9266
FOOD & AMENITIES
The Rockingham concessions may be open for lunch, which is good since there are no restaurants nearby. They serve "track food" - hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. Restrooms with running water will be available during the event.
SCHEDULE
See above. Since setup needs to be done on Sunday morning, we are running a slightly delayed schedule.
DIRECTIONS
Available here.
ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION
Right here.
OTHER INFO
The drag strip is absolutely OFF LIMITS on Sunday. Don't even think about it!
EVERYONE at the event including visitors must sign the insurance waiver upon arrival and wear a wristband. There will be a worker at the entry to the lot handing out wristbands.
Pit speed 5 MPH!
Pick up your trash AND the trash of others.
Trophies will be awarded at the end of the day.

Rallycross Car Royale. Shultz, you totally need to do this
PS - it can't be an 89 - it's an 87 or 88.

I did the last THSCC rallycross and enjoyed the heck out of it. Well run, too. I don't know where the car will be in the SS->IT conversion but it's possible that I'll make it.
