Default what when wrong ??? b18c1 with ctr pistons

a b18c1 was build with CTR pistons
p n p gsr head (not sure how much it was milled)
itr cams , stock injectors , walbro pump
jun replica ecu program , jun cam gears and valvesprings
the motor before it was fitted with ctr pistons made 181whp
with stock bottom end , now with the CTR pistons and apexi vtec controller made 188whp on 100 octane mix with 91
later on we found out after doing a compression test that it has a leak, most likey vend valves .
what do you guys think ?
what when wrong ???

Well I noticed a few things.

1) Your not sure how much the head was milled? Maybe it was shaved .035 and you had minimal piston to valve clearence.

2) Making 7 more whp by only changing the compresion is not bad at all. I would be happy with that upgrade. You still have the same cams. Get some more duration and lift and you should notice even more gains out of your increased compression.

3) stock injectors- It may be time to upgrade

4) During the leak down test where was the leakage coming from?

i know cams are a must like jun stage 2 or skunk , also can jun stage 3 clear since the high lift ?

bigger injectors , cams and hondata is the next upgrade , just ran out of money
some else did the test and that was the explanation given.

DId you add more fuel?

My guess would be that the CTR pistons got hot due to the lack of fuel expanded into the cylinder walls and hence your oil drinking problem.

Either that or your rings didnt seat when you swapped out pistons. Did you install new rings and do a lite hone to break the glaze?

did u add a lot more fuel to lower the exhaust gas temps due to the higher compression

what is your fuel pressure at???

since is a set up run by a friend of my , found out that happen after installing Jun cams stage 3 . The reason they decided to check what was wrong , was to after installing the cams a 3hp difference was made, from previous set up.
