Default Best Rear Sway Bar 5th gen lude

I've looked all over and it seems like no one has an opinion of what is the best rear sway bar for the 97-01 prelude. I am planning on buying one soon, hopefully spending no more than 200-250$ What is good in this price range or cheaper? just wondering your opinions

Even though I have an ST I would say Progess (or maybe a Saner if you could get your hands on one).

Correct me if I'm wrong..
It's only necessary to have a thicker rear sway bar because stiffening up the front would only increase understeer?

Yes, only beef up the rear otherwise you will be countering any effect by beefing up the front as well. To be honest, the best rear Sway EVER made for the 97-01 Ludes was the original Neuspeed 28 mm bar, but they discontinued it so I was stuck with the ST 25.4 mm, which I have liked quite a bit. No experience with progress, but from the sizing and 3-way adjustments, I bet that is the better bar vs the ST (but I got my ST for like $120, so it was worth it)

I have a used black neuspeed 4 point front upper strut tower bar for sale for $95 shipped to US 48. Only reason I want to sell it is I just bought a genuine JDM Type-S H22, and am trying to do a conversion, and they have a black "Type-S" front strut bar I want to buy. Email me Spocko_1701a@yahoo.com if interested

Some people have had a lot of trouble even getting in contact with them. In their defense I think some or all of these cases could've happened when they were moving into their new facility. I haven't heard of anyone trying to get into contact with them lately so they might be easier to talk to now but I just don't know about it.
I had gotten in contact when them a long time ago when I bought the collars for my rear sway bar, it took about 3 days before I actually got to speak to someone on the phone but in the end they were very cool and professional.
Suk02Si: http://www.sanerperffab.com and they custom make the bar to any size you want it to be.

Im running full Tanabe sway bars. Tell you the truth you are better off with the ES suspension bushings kit.

For someone like my self who has 450lbs springs in the rear, and 380lbs springs in the front, would the ST bar eliminate understeer. The ground controls and koni's have already gotten rid of most of the understeer. I figure if the ST bar will do the job, why spend more.

I had trouble with Saner a couple of years ago. Got them on the phone fine, ordered, etc. seemed like a nice place. No bar after 3 months, and I come to find out they got some contract to develop prototypes for some company. My bar never got made. It sucks because I think it's the best bar out there (less bends than the Progress and the adjustment at the end isn't just a tab welded on), but good luck getting one. It was even a reasonable price. sigh.

I have a question about setting up the suspension with a thicker front and rear.

One of the benefits of sway bars is less body roll, correct?

So, if you upgrade one, and leave the other stock you are going to have the ends of the car rolling at different rates. I can see in a high speed application (ex. Road Racing and DE events) that being a benefit. A stiffer rear would generate a higher tendency towards oversteer.

...but for a low speed and daily driving, wouldn't you want something that was closer to neutral? I know for AutoX, and neutral car is quicker than an understeering and oversteering car. So, a car that stays flatter would maintain a greater contact patch (tire wise).

???

The car from the factory does not come anywhere near neutral. It's heavily biased toward the front.

My car handles neutral, with a touch of oversteer...and it is stock save the Type-S front upper STB.

hmm. yours must be magic because mine still pushes with new springs, shocks, a rear sway, and some weight reduction.

I don't know what to tell you, I have been AutoXing and Tracking the car for the two years that I have had it.

Have you tried tweaking the alignment?
