well for many of you who don't know, i dropped my car off yesterday night at elite-autosports in minneapolis, mn for a dyno tune appointment i had made for today. i had installed a 3bar map, 1008cc injectors, wideband, and EMS and just left it there for them to get it up and running and tune to 350whp on pump gas.
anyway to make my story short, we got the car up and running within 30 min. after that we only had 4 runs to tune my car cause my laptop battery died right after that. to our surprise(charlie moua, redlinetuning, and the people at elite) i was able to get a surprising 299.9whp w/10psi!!. my wtq was pretty low sitting at 234.7 but damn, what more can you ask for from 10 psi!! i would of made more but my motor was running HOT as hell since we didn't even stop the car from running since my tires rolled up on those rollers, and my sparkplugs were FOULED!! i mean pitch BLACK!! that and my fuel map was all over the place and rich as hell! well, enough on my story...here are the maps that make you go WHOA!! is it V-Tec y0?!? ummm NO, it's an LS!!

some bad *** numbers!.. i even got to sit in the recaro's and played with the ignition timing on the AEM EMS with Shane(?) the tuner at Elite. heehehe..
the next run should be able to pull 375+ with all the new mods... awesome job Sherman!

damn sherman you posted this sucker up quick as hell.
Yeah we were there for like ever waiting to get dyno time. Sad to say we only got 3-4pulls before the labtop batteries died just when we were getting excited.
hah the 1st 1/2 throttle pull we made 123.8whp... ahah me and Joe (redlinetuning) was messing with sherman saying that maybe 250whp is good goal for today.
the 2nd pull it made 289.9whp sherman was across from the computer screen so i yelled out "289" and he though i was really ******* with him... haha
After it got off the roller we were all looking at that dyno graph....
I mean just the numbers themselves look more like a boosted GSR rather than an LS.
Man I could totally see this thing doing 315-320whp at 10psi with a better or more aggressive tune... (look at the a/f @ 6.5krpms... ) heheh
BTW shane is hella cool.... I freaken learned a few things while just listening to him work.

The GUI interface is similar to Uberdata. the fuel and ignition maps are in the same format, but the AEM EMS has more functionality and a lot more options. AEM has done a great job researching and programming. I don't know much about Uberdata yet, but it's supposed to be just as good. Their next version upgrade should have some EBC tuning options.
If you have a good understanding of all the graphs and you have a grasp of all the numbers, the program is a very powerful tool. Shane did an awesome job in just that little time.
I find the EMS very responsive and user friendly.

sorry guys, i'll try to post up pictures of my ride later tonight when i get a chance to go home. but as for those of you who want to know my setup, here it is:
setup is:
motor setup:
b18b1, eagle rods, je pistons, dart sleeves, arp bolts/studs, oem bearings, skunk2 intake mani, aem cam gears, ngk plugs gapped .029
turbo setup:
turbonetics t3to4e .63/.60 57trim, drag mani(yeah i know...but i had to sell my equal length mani for $$$), precision 750hp fmic, msd 3bar map, msd 1008cc injectors, blitz ss bov, tial wg, custom IC piping (2"-> 2.25"-> fmic-> 2.5"), custom 2.5"->3" dp, custom oil cooler, TR&D 3" turbo exhaust, 3" test pipe, AEM EMS 30-1000 w/wideband.
i think that's about it.
yeah, i know it's capable of at least 325whp running the same amount of boost. changing out those fouled spark plugs would of helped alot! as well as giving the car ample time to cool down before doing a 'power run'. then there's also the map which is probably worse than a base map...
but it works.
i'm not familiar at all with all the stuff on the EMS but i'm slowly learning by myself. it's freaken awesome being able to just plug up the laptop into the ecu and watch all the parameters and such. and all it takes to make changes/adjustments is a lift of your index finger.
