My friend has a 94 teg with a p30 head.. is this stock?!
my buddy picked up a 94 teg today with a p30 head, i thought this was only on the gen 2 cars? why would somebody swap this on? the car however does run hard
yea that is weird the DA gsr has the p30 head. maybe your friends car is a very early model 94 cause it should be a p72 head.

UUUUMMMMMM...sorry to tell you but there is no such thing as a P30 head. P30 is the code for most parts in a 92+ B16A, but the head is still a PR3. All B16A and Type R heads are PR3.
92+ JDM Civic SiR and USDM 93-97 Del Sol use the code P30, but the head says PR3-2 or PR3-3 i forget which.
94+ GSR = P72
97+ Type R = PR3
92-93 GSR = PR3
92+ JDM Civic SiR = PR3 (P30 ECU)
93+ Del Sol VTEC = PR3 (P30 ECU)
94+ GSR = P72
97+ Type R = PR3
92-93 GSR = PR3
92+ JDM Civic SiR = PR3 (P30 ECU)
93+ Del Sol VTEC = PR3 (P30 ECU)
it looks like the Da head, the plug where the vtec solonoid would go says p30 on it.
The car is 3/94 so its pretty early

no vtec tho.. the car runs Really good, its fast as ****, no leaks, no burning oil, no noises, nothing, i knew when i saw it the head was from a gen 2 cuz every1 gen 3 ive seen had the p72 also.. whats the diffrence in between the heads? we have a head from a 97 sittin around thats mint, would we gain any power swappin that on
The P72 head has a smaller combustion chamber which will raise compression slightly. Valvetrain shouldn't be very different, however the two heads have different cams.
For reference sake, the P72 head only came on 3rd gen GSR's. PR3 heads came on all B16A's, the B17A1, the B16B, the B18C5, and the JDM ITR B18C among others.
