Does anyone have information on the paint used on the CRX "exclusive"? I’m trying to find the actual paint code.

Somewhere I had read that this black paint had a white flake in it rather than the normal red flake found here in North America. Can anyone confirm this at all?

I’d rather not have to call the UK, but I will if I have to, but I thought I would try here first.

Thats why Im asking, neither do I! Mabey it was a silver flake? Anyone out there know, I would apreciate the help!

 

Black with red flake? What paint code is that? and are you sure it was from a crx?

 

Sorry, I think I should have siad "Black with red pearl". And its found on all 89-91 DX and Si civic and CRXs in North America.

its the one with a leather interior. parts from it pop up on ebay sometimes. it wasnt a us model. maybe uk or japan

 

The CRX "Exclusive" was a Japan/UK offered CRX only.There were only somthing like 350 made in 91. Came with what supposedly was a diffrent pearl black paint (the code Im looking for) and tan leather inside. Was a DOHC ZC model.

Anyone in the UK have any knowledge about the paint on this car?

 

Those tan leather interiors I have seen sell for upwards of $2500US on eBay a few years back. They are really rare. They look like ***, but still something that you and only a handfull of other people have.

as far as I'm aware they are 'normal' black metallic, like the euro siR's...

as for the years they were made... the pics clearly show that it's on an 88-89 model, rather than a 90-91... besides... in Japan (where they were sold, we never had them in europe either) ALL 90-91 CRX's have what you guys call the JDM front end...

but the color: Why not just go 'normal' black... or if you want something special... the dark red from the jdm siR? that's cool ...

 

There was a "Limited Edition" as well the "Exclusive" in Japan ( not sure of color)
And a dfferent "Special Edition" in Canada as well. It was Vouge Silver.
Wow the JDM Exclusive is Black metallic? (crappy monitor. LOL)
I always thought it looked more like a really deep dark GREEN.
Oh well live and learn.

So the Euro SiR is a black metallic? Im guessing its the Flint Black Metallic Clearcoat that can be found on the page above, but can anyone confirm that?

I gotta check my EDM books the only CRX VT color I know fur sur is Celestial Blue.

 

NO EDM CRX VT in Black
Celestial Blue , Rio Red, Blade Silver, Polar White. ONLY
If it's Black it was custom or imported from Japan

check germany, belgium, netherlands, ANYWHERE in northern europe...

Hey man just going by what's printed in Honda's own literature.
No Black 90-91 CRX VT's in the couple of EDM prospekts, I have.
If you say ther are, hey you live there, I don't.
It says there were Black Civic VT and VTi, but .........

And...... BTW, what's a "Euro SiR? Were they imported?
The SiR in Europe was the VT or VTi. Wasn't it?
It was not called the SiR in Europe. I thought only Japan.
