16 or 18 inch rims on the track
hey guys im going to run my car saturday but i don't know whether to run with my 16 inch sh wheels that weigh 44 pounds each and can't get traction for **** or my 18 inch rims that weigh 41 pounds each a little lighter and have toyo proxy 4's that grip awesome for a launch let me know thanks guys

18's with 215/35/18 rubber is the same diameter of stock so it wouldn't throw gearing off.
That being said if there is only 3 pounds difference I would say go with the 16's just because of the smaller rotating mass and more forgiving rubber cause it's got a higher profile

hondafiend 04 is a dumbass
DON'T lower the air pressure to 20!! It will only encourage sidewall roll and will give the car insufficent grip in the corners and only the edges of the tires will grip the road instead of the whole tire would if it were fully inflated. Inflate your tires to recomended pressure and use some white shoe polish and put it on six or eight spots around the tire's edge and drive the course to see how much sidewall flex/rollover you are getting and adjust the pressure accordingly. And use the 16's with good tires.
