Default 96-98 civic type r headlight question?

just purchased a ctr headlights, I want to put some city lights on it. Does anybody know where to purchase some oem city lights built for this headlight or some aftermarket ones. How hard is it to install these city lights, does anybody have a step by step DIY process. Want to do it right dont want to drill holes and mess up my headlights. Did a search but they attached the city lights on the bulb, dont want to do that want to put it where it suppose to go. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you purchased CTR headlights, they already have the hole for the city lights in them. As for the bulb socket, the 97+ Prelude "city light" sockets and the sockets from most Honda license plate lamps will both fit.

yeah it already got the hole on it. How hard is it to wire this set up, with a separate toggle switch so I can turn it on and off as I wish

If you're comfortable with wiring, then it would be extremely simple to wire them up to a switch. However, I'd personally suggest wiring them to function as they do on JDM cars which would involve disconnecting the parking light wiring from your corner lamps and reconnecting it to the city lights.

no need for inside switches....i just did mine on my 2000 hatch....i pulled the red wire from the turn signal...and then put the red and black to the city light....i wired my sidemarkers at the same time to..with red and green so they blink with blinker

or you could wire it to something that is switched such as fuel pump or something that works only when the car is in the "on" position.
