Is this worth fixing, or am I just beeing lazy??? **PICS**
Ok,
So my Hatch has a problem, both rockers are mono foam, with aluminum tape on top and then bondo. They "looked" fine, until I had a insident with a curb on the passenger side where it's no longer fine.
Pics of damage:

Also, the rear 1/4's apparently were patched with aluminum tape and bondo.
Now, I was thinking of picking up another car, which would probably cost me roughly 1000-1500$ (CDN). HARD to find a CLEAN shell here for cheap.
OR, I can use the WW fiberglass kit that I have, the rear bumper is for the Civic, the sides and door caps as well, they would cover up the passenger rocker and the front is from a 88-89 CRX (don't ask) so I would just get the CRX fenders and hood etc. i would have to mould the kit on as it's CRAP finish and the lines would be all crooked.
The only thing about doing that is It wouldn't be "solid" I would just "cover up" the rocker with the side skirt.
I have the car half apart in the driveway because I was parting it out but I was thinking to myself I should just fix it instead....
What do you guys think? worth it or not?

i would think getting another car would be better, i saw a car on autotrader a couple months back. it was clean and one owner lady driven. just serach around you might find one that is well taken care of, and i know what you mean by finding a hatch with no rust up here in Canada it's horrible!
Also in Ontario here, Ive yet to find a nice Crx RUST FREE!
hard decision though, Id proably do the molded kit though, thats what I did

No kidding, I see all these posts on here from people picking up SWEET hatches/CRX' for like 500$ or some ****, and no rust!
WTF!!
I think I will be looking HARD to find a nice CRX when I'm in LA come August. If I can find a good clean rex or hatch, I'm driving it back. :D

i just picked up and 88 crx with tiny traces of rust on it with mint interior and i only paid $600 for it, you just gotta look and you'll find them out there, i got one word for you E-BAY
Not worth fixing... Sell me your shocks.
BTW - There won't be found a 11+ year old Honda in Canada if it has been driven on the road. There's just no way.

I can handle surface rust..I can't handle MONO FOAM rocker panels or Bondo 1/4's.
Either way, i may have a lead on a nice hatch....I'll post if anything happens! WOOT!

Damn this makes me happy (only reason) i live in New Mexico..no rust. Horrible drivers and alot of ricers but ..no rust. I'd have to say try and fix it then put the kit on it. These cars are getting rare, figure at this rate in 15 years we won't see too many CRXs and Hbs..so those of us with them will really appreciate them even more
just my $.02
just my $.02
It's a tough call.
I can buy another car for 1000$(CDN) and have to do little surface rust fixing...or I can just fix this car, I doubt it would cost me 1000$ if I am doing it all myself. I dunno.....at least if I don't buy another car I don't have to worry about safety and emmisions and registration and crap like that....
