91 Accord problems.. scratchy sounds?? help!
This is pretty long I know, but I really need some help here. I think Firestone is just throwing me for a loop here.
I brought my car in to Firestone several weeks ago for an alignment fix when I noticed the wheel shakes and my car goes to the left. I had also just hit a huge pothole.
They "fix" it but a week later, my car still shakes while accelerating. It only does it when my foot is on the gas and I'm at lower speeds. So I take it in again and they told me my engine and transmission mounts are most likely bad or breaking.
So they now they replace all kinds of front end stuff: (heres what receipt says) Front hub assembly, Replace bearings, Front Wheel, Both Mounting Hardware, Brake Rotor. While my car is there, I also got them to change the oil.
Now, a week after I got it back, the car still shakes and is leaking oil, which wasn't happening before. I didn't realize how much oil I was leaking until my car began to seize up as I was driving down the road so I dumped a couple quartz of oil in and drove back to Firestone.
Now they tell me the car shakes because my transmission is bad and in turn that has jostled the valves and gaskets loose and thats why I'm leaking oil. They replace timing belts, water pump, gasket covers, seals...
Now I just drove it home.... it clicks when I turn right, it sounds like something metal is scrapeing the ground when I accelerate, but the shaking is reduced somewhat...
I know it's long but could someone please tell me why at least one of these problems is occuring??
