throttle body to fuel injection?
how hard is it to change my 89 civic dx hatchback with a throttle body to fuel injeciton? I have the engin wiring harness and manafold and everyyhing under the hood for it but do i need to do anything in the car other then changing the computer?
I have a 91 civic dx hatch, that i just got an engine for with a throtle body(i believe si) any chance you would want to sell your harness that works on the throtle body or trade for one that works with f/i?
For electical you just need to do the wiring, change out distributors, add resistor box, and change out the ECU.
Mechanical changes are only the complete intake manifold from throttle body, sensors, and injectors.
You can also change out the cam as well for a bit more power.

first off let me ask... Are you talking about wanting to change your dual point fuel injection (dpfi) to the multi point fuel injection (mpfi) that's usually found in the SI?
If that's it then you better use the search.....

for future reference, yoru car is the dx model, which we call 'dual point injection' , or 'DPFI' .. it is still considered PGMFI. it is still considered fuel injection, though you can make the argument that it is 'throttle body injection'.
it has one injector for two of the cylinders and another injector for the other two.
the other type, which you called PGMFI, is called "multi point fuel injection" , or 'MPFI'... it has one injector for each cylinder.
with AMERICAN crx's:
all dx models are DPFI
all hf and si models are MPFI
see above for info on changing over from dpfi to mpfi, or do a SEARCH.
