I heard that taking the resonator out, you loose 3 hp from the DYNO, but i was wondering if this is for Type R only or GSR and LS included?

 

is that kind of like adding stickers for horsepower?

taking the resonator box off shouldn't really effect the HP, it might by like 1/2 or 1 but nothing significant

 

thanks just wondering, im just taking it off cuz i want my intake to HISS a lil more thats all. i just heard somewhere they dyno it and you lost 3hp thats all

 

yeah that guy could've taken it off, misfired on a spark plug or somethin THEN dynoed it for all we know, the resonator box has to come off when you put on a CAI anyways, so if you did lose horsepower pretty much everybody with an integra would have lost power

 

-3.5lbs weight reduction yo. lol I have a SRI and was bored so I decided to pull it out anyway. I left the J shap tube but cut it and faced it to the front of the car. Any outside air that gets up the tube is cooler and can hit the filter. Don't know if it will do anything nor do I care but I didn't need the resonator anymore and I now saved 2 seconds in the 1/4 with my 3.5lb reduction. hahah
