Default Handbrake Light help!!!!

Hey guys, i don't know what happened, but my handbrake light stays on now even though the handbrake is fullly down. I have a compustar alarm and it still reonignizes if the handbrake is up or not regardless of the light, for some odd reasoning, the light is just steady on now, and its bugging me, could it be a sign to tell me to change the rear brakes or brakes in general. my front brakes are pretty low i know, but i'm doing the ex front brake conversion soon, but i don't know what it is or where to even diagnose any help would be appriciated thanks.

tia.

Yeah the e-brake light is somtimes used as a brake service indicator light. You should change your pads or top off your brake fluid resevoir(That should turn the light off for a while).

you are more than likely out of fluid, or your ebrake cable is too tight.

Either this, or maybe you're just low on brake fluid.
