Simple, just cut the wire that goes to your fuel pump and run the 2 leads to a switch you're going to hide somewhere that you won't accidently bump into the off position while going down the highway. VERY bad mojo there. The ultimate LEAN!!

should cover it all

in a pinch just pull out the fuel pump fuse, that'll surely fool a few stupid thieves, not all of course.

read the "How not to get your car jacked" thread, tons of info

You MUST use a switch rated for automotive use that can handle least 20A or above. Using a 3A switch WILL cause it to burn out. Again, refer to the directions at http://www.courtlukens.com for directions. I'm using the switch he recommended (Radio Shack 25A Automotive rocker switch, Part#275-730) and it works well and is pretty small.

If you must use a small 3A switch, you will have to use a relay. Search this forum for more info on how to do this.

after mucho mucho research i have decided that this is the way to go for a basic fuel kill switch-

http://www.ae92gts.com/downloads/cutout.doc

30= power side of wire
87= pump side of wire
86= ground
85= power

from what i have read this setup can use a smaller momentary switch that you just have to hold down til the car starts. after that theres no worrying about bumping a switch or whatnot because its momentary and will latch after startup and unlatch only when the car is shut down. also, even if a thief discovers the switch he may not realize it has to be held in during startup. if i am wrong about any of this, please feel free to correct me.

i was just thinkin. instead of having to have the bypass switch you can just replace the momentary push button switch with a 20~25 amp latching switch and leave it turned on if someone else has to drive your car or if the relay fails. otherwise you can just flip the switch on, start the car, and turn the switch off. i dunno if leaving the switch on with the power looping in, out, and around the relay will effect anything tho....
