Hey guys,

I heard they have a school where you can go to to be a ceritified honda tech, but the school was more geared to performance rather than just tune-ups and whatnot. Anyone know about anything like that? And if so, where can I find information about it?

I've heard that in MN, there's a school called Dunwoody with a Honda Program.. I'm not sure though, anyone wanna back me up??.

there's one in evergreen college in san jose.. but i think that's a LITTLE too far away for u, huh?
but any manufacturer certified courses are not going to focus on performance other than engine performance as it relates to emissions, driveability, and fuel economy. it's possible that one of the school also teaches high performance stuff, but i don't think that couse would be a requisite for a honda certified tech.

if i'm wrong though, someone please let me know. i can't say i've even seen 1% of the schools out in the u.s.

i wanted to get into to that, but i didn't want to wait...

now i'm a chrysler tech... so it evened out...

 

Butte College, Chico, CA has the Honda cert. Tech courses. I was enrolled in the classes but, I joined the Air Force so I never made it. It's a little far for you (lol) but yes they do have "Honda only" classes. Go to your local Honda dealer and ask them where they send their cert. mechanics

 

Thanks guys...yah I heard someone puts on a school that deals with aftermarket performance in dealing with strictly honda engines. That would be sweet, something I would definitely do after college...since I am never tuning anything but HONDAS ever

lookup HONDA PACT in south florida..its a certified HONDA/ACURA only tech school..
ive been through there facilities..very nice..
