98 prelude auto-tiptronic tranny acting up...
my tranny is acting up now, what would be the problem? I already change oil twice and still not shifting. please help me. thanks
Yeah dude, 5 speed conversion is what you need to do at this point.
Because on average:
* replace transmission: labor ($200)
* replace with new transmission: parts ($3000)
* downtime on this: one day to 3 days or more
doing a 5 speed:
Here is the list:
* used h22 trans ($700 on average), f22 ($300 on average), h23 ($300 on average).
* replacing and adding parts to do a 5 speed on an auto: parts ($1300 on average)
* ecu reflashing, red key: parts and labor ($300 on average)
So with this, you do the math, this is average.
Good luck.

yeah replaceing your tranny is only a temporary fix it will just die again... If you have the money might as well do a swap.
^^^^^^^^^^ right on about those prices for the swap that almost exactly what im going to end up paying when i get all my parts...
