what are the best cams and header to run on a naturally aspired b16a2

a freind of mine made 175@whp and 129 torque on a stock b16 wit toda B's and portflow valvetrain with v afc tuning

There really is no "best" cam and header for a B16. A good plan of attack is to decide what you'll be doing most with your car, drag, road race, daily driving, track car, whatever, and research the cam and header that would benefit you most with your needs, compression, funds, etc.

well i want it for a daily driver and street/strip im not worried about the cost bc i want to get good qualiy parts although my pockets are not endless

Don't know much about the Mugen header but I bet it's overpriced. If you are sticking with stock compression, stage I cams will be in your area. As for header, if you are gonna spend that much get a custom 4-1. I'm going on my 2nd AN-R header now.

About 10 hp, the CTR cam has 3 degrees more duration than ITR, not sure about torque.

well the header can be had for 200 as far as compressio i'm stock right now and will stay that way through te summer but i plan to rebuild the botom end this winter and have the head portand polished while upgrading the valvetrain

Uhmmmmmmmm, I think that's great, but on 11.5:1 compression I've seen a B16 make 187 at the wheels. Not that it matters, as peak numbers don't really excite me, efficiency and using the motors upgrades to their fullest potential is more important.

129 ft-lbs of torque from a stock bottomend B16? I find that hard to believe. Even B16s putting out close to 200whp are only putting around 115 ft-lbs. 129ft-lbs sounds more like a B18 to me.

ralphy from DRT tuned it car made alto of power it was fun to drive until the dumbass pulle the injectors out and messed with the tuning. jerseysipos is his ht name u can ask him urself
