Well it is roomy, has decent power and amenities...I can't really think of any cons. I would say drive one and see if you like it. I recently drove a 2dr v6 6spd and was amazed at how much power that thing has

Also if you want some 'looks' to go with the vehicle there is an optional aero kit that looks very very good.

If you would like some more info on space, mpg, height etc I would recommend going to http://www.edmunds.com or the like and get that info.

IMO accords are nice cars, they just don't get the credit they deserve .

Also when/if you get it register the vehicle at: https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/...honda Although the dealer will probably have you registered.

so no "surprises" that happen with time like things going wrong or breaking? i've always had good luck with hondas but my VW has made me leery of new cars.

Well as you know hondas are very reliable...even more so when left stock . But as a daily driver I can't see any reason why it wouldn't do everything you need.

I haven't heard of anything bad about the cars...other than SOME of the front pads on the 03 Accords V6 and 4cly were recalled because of a supplier defect and replaced free of charge. That is the only brake problem known as of now.

Other than that its a honda and I would obviously drive it just to make sure.

You can go almost anywhere on the internet to get the opinion on the Accord. Look at car magazines, ask your friends' friends that have the Accord, ask random people on the street that you see getting out of an 03-04 Accord, etc. You're obviously going to get a skewed point of view when you go on a Honda Enthusiast site...

If you want basic information (specifications), just go to Hondacars.com and choose the car you want, and click specifications. CarAndDriver.com has some articles on the Honda Accord (as do other magazine websites). You can go to Edmunds.com but I find that their "official" opinions on the cars they test are not so appealing to the people who are enthusiasts. Their opinions sound like something that would come out of a middle aged woman or man who thinks she knows a lot about cars, but really doesn't.

Well the general consensus I've been getting from most people is that it's a great car, much roomier than the previous one, acceleration is better, interior quality is very good. If you're not planning to mod it, the biggest complaint is that it's plain to drive, especially since the sedan really isn't geared towards sporty driving. Handling is soso.

Just so you know, JD Power, NADA, and other similar companies make reliability lists according to company. Honda was #4 on the JD list (i think, but i know it was in top 5), VW was ranked 2nd to last. NADA had similar results. VW cars are pretty nice, but their reliability sucks.

accords are very reliable so i would say go for it. sounds like the lx four door stuff is your thing so i won't suggest you look at the v6 2dr ex... which i think is the only v6 that comes in manual... right?
