center suport affect handling???

center suport affect handling???
on the 94-01 integra's there is a 3 peace black metal brace bolted to subframe just under the back seats. It's like 30 pounds I dont need so if I take it out will my handling be affected? What would be the advantages and diss advantages of this?

For what its worth, 94-97s don't have that thing. PErsonally, I would leave it. It is relatively low in the chassis and can only help rigidity and definately will help in a side impact.

Well my 95 doesnt have it, no other 95s have it, and I know my buddies 96 doesnt but my sisters 98 and my buddies 98 ITR do have it, so 96-97 is the change. But like I said, I would leave it if I had it.

coo thanks for the help. also if the 94-97's dont have it what dose the bottom of the back seat clip into because on the 98 and up it clips into the suport?
