well i got a 91 crx hf
he has had his civic cx

i did a DOHC ZC swap cuz i blow the hf eng.
a lil latter his eng was messen up so we dorped in the d15b vtech

we are going to the track the weekend and i want to know who has who

i know but he wont race me on the street

Well one give away that you will probably get blown away is that crappy hf tranny.Even though your friend has dx tranny it's still 2 times better geared and set up than the hf.

i thought that to but his tranny is crazy it goes from 30-90mph in 2nd i think my 1st and 2nd gears are better then his but my 3rd gear is really long
we will be raceing 1/4 i have never run the 1/4 only the 1/8 and i know 1st and 2nd are all that matter but what gear or gears matter on the 1/4

Look yall i was just look for a lil advice on how to beat him, not ppl. tell me to race him, i kinda plan on it but i would like to know the out come before hand.

 

ok if you raced the 1/8 its the same as the 1/4, since you have an hf tranny, i doubt you will go out of third, so gearing is irrevelant...

HF tranny goes to 90mph in 2nd gear @ 6400rpm. not DX

 

DAMN I WISH I HAD A PHONE IN MY MOTOR!!! lol just playin, but be careful with that "vtech" stuff cuz jesus you'll get pwned on honda-tech.

 

I would believe about 70 tops with a dx my 91 dx would hit 70 in 2nd,but also sounded like it was about to blow up if i reved any farther.

 

is there any eg tranny that will go to 90 or close to it cuz

i love my HF tranny... it gets me good gas mileage on the highway. the highest i rev in 2nd is to 6800 rpms and thats about 90 miles an hour.

yea my hf goes like tat too. on the freeway doing like 80 on 5th gear and i can still shift to 2nd and gas it for a while tats amazing. but the motor is fukin slow.
