Default Brake light mod question.....

Hey all,

I'm interested in installing this simple brake light modification to my 2002 Honda Civic EX. Here's a link to a few pictures of it : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...50434

To put the sticker onto my 3rd brake light lens, I have been told I need to remove the rear deck panel (underneath my rear window). I don't know where to start unscrewing or what to look out for when doing this mod. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks,
Seth

If it's not obvious where to unscrew, maybe it's also not worth the effort? I normally don't make responses that dont at least try to answer the question, but really, seems like you can spend your time somewhere else in the car.

You cant "unscrew" the 3rd brakelight in your car. You need to remove the rear deck buy first removing the rear seats, then the side panels, and then the deck pulls right out. Its held in by clips.

I personally remove mine by folding the rear seat down, then bending the side panels back... but some people might be scared to bend the panels (they wont break)

Thanks for answering my question YOUR MAMA, I'll try your method.

I am doing this mod because it's something I *can afford* to do. I want to make my car my own by changing some part of it. Not all of us have rich parents or high paying jobs that let us throw money around.

Next, I plan on tinting my rear windows, then putting on some Konig wheels, then installing a new cold air intake and exhaust system.

Well in my honest opinion... i think the sticker is gay... People who care already know its a civic... no need to make it blatantly obvious...

Just tint the back windows like you said... and unhook the 3rd brake light (i think it looks dim/retarded behind tinted windows, i did the same to both my civics)

Good luck man and do whatever you want to. Its your car and your $.
