Default why is this car so much?

1994 Civic Si HB, white ext/black int, 170k miles. 100% stock, mint condition, no accidents, new clutch, new radiator. $5900 FIRM

kbb private party in excellent condition is $3700 for 140k miles
kbb retail in excellent condition is $4900 with 170k miles

i think i would be insane to buy it for $6k, or am i wrong? i dont know the values for EH3's at all, since ive been into EJ8's (96 coupe) my entire honda life.

any info would be great, thanks.

Because despite the mileage the car is in excellent condition.

It's a white Si...that means black interior. White + black = nice.

He'll probably get that price, so why not ask it?

maybe the person selling it thinks they have a gold mine due to the "scene" due to the fact it is an Si and it is in MINT. i mean its kinda hard to find a mint hatch for some people due to alot of factors. i agree it prolly isnt worth it but some kid with daddys credit card will prolly buy it.

You should see the prices for Si HB's in B.C. $10,000 CDN for a nice one, or about $7300 USD!

i wouldnt pay 5900 for that... i mean yes it is a mint SI hatch... and it is white... probably one of the hardest hatches to find... but i doubt he will get that much... and if he does, he probably will be waiting a while

the hatch market is like that up in northern cali too.

there are good deals.. but there are plenty of people checking the classifieds looking for the same thing you're looking for every day.

well, the market will adjust his/her price sooner or later. the thing is, its hard to find hatches in cali (as mentioned above). its even harder to find a clean one. its even more so finding one with a clean title!

you get the drift.

complete rip off. Seeing that the kbb is 4900 and he is asking 1k more. You can find something better for a lot cheaper.

i wouldn't mind buying out of state and driving it back to southern california with one of my buddies---might be fun, actually. if anyone knows a good local deal in their area for a white EH3 Si (thats EG for the JDMers), let me know. hondas in the midwest and central states are cheap im assuming?

Yea, but then you have cops waving nightsticks, judges waving gavels, and bubba waving your biscuit.

Just offer him 5 for it. He'll probly take it.

hatch's are hard to find in Sounthern Cali
5 g's for a mint hatch, isn't to bad. Why do you want an SI, you like the sun roof?

I just paid 10 g's from a dealer, for my black 99 DX hatch and it was mint.

****... $5,900 is a lot.

Granted, its worth it if thats what you want. A stock nice white Si.

You could buy a Hatch that already has $$$ sunk into it w/ swap and several other thing'a'maboos... for less. Then you wouldnt have to worry about it being "as" much of an money pit that it would be.

****, Id hand my title over for less and mines charcoal, DX, si full interior (black), RSR this, Mugen that, Spoon jib's here, rocken 2.0 swap there... I mean common.

All i can say is this, Don't act on impaulses. Wait and you'll find a lot better deal and be happy you didnt jump on the first hatch you saw.

If cars are sold at such an high price where you live. How come you all dont look in other areas.... Id rather spend $100 to $200 hundred on a road trip for a car in a location that isnt so high. Then stay and have to pay $2,000-+ over what you would get it somewhere else.
