Default Engine progress...(56k modem warning)

Here is the new engine install progress.
almost ready for removal

lash caps installed and valve adjustment done

it is out

old intake manifold cleaned and engine is almost ready for install, sans harness

stock clutch, 200K miles, very bad condition

this is NOT getting reused

that is it for now. today new flywheel, clutch and re-installment of the transmission.

I have 4.

They're not cracked, but they're not in fabulous condition. You'll need to use the filter and seals and stuff from your old injector and it should work fine.

I'll send all 4 to you for $15 shipped.

PM if interested.

my old hf motor burned/leaked a quart every 200 miles. it had like 257K on it, and i guess it was just its way of telling me to replace it. just poured in another quart of 20W50 every time i filled up.

update.
engine is in and running. had a massive coolant leak at the water rail (lesson of the day, when helms advises to replace seals, REPLACE seals!). after a quick repair. it started up. sounds absolutely like a bike motor, does not idle below 1200RPM and shakes the entire car (polyurethane glue in bushings is a great thing). i had to mix my own race fuel from xylene. about 10 miles on the new engine already.
it is in dire need of a tune, still some knocking at higher RPMs.
pictures to come shortly.

I was just stating that I was getting a swap as well. Had nothing to do with what he was putting in. But if you feel like being an ******** be my guest!

A6 P29 pistons .25 over, coated. ARP rod bolts, ARP head studs, head milled, ported, valvejob, ISKY valvetrain, EF1 (rocket motorsports) cam, Golden eagle cam gear, ACT prolite flywheel, hyper clutch (on-off switch), hondata IM spacer, chickara header, wrapped (surprisingly good header for the money), home-made intake.
to come, once the engine is broken into, ITBs, a better heard (Bisi perhaps)

Everything looks pretty good, but be careful! The b series swaps into EF's are very tight with the oem altenator as it is. With an oversize underdrive (ha ha) pulley like that, you may have a real problem with clearance between the engine setup and the drivers side fender wall. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

thats a D16a6. there will be no clearance issue with that pully.
