Default A few questions/problems with my Accord (stock)

Well my 96 Accord LX sat at my moms house for about 3 months. I finally got someone to take a long drive up so that I could bring it home. There seems to be a few things wrong with it that I didn't notice before I left it there.

1. the 2 front tires sidewalls are wrinlked, firgured they just sat too long. So I'm going to replace them but would like to know if anyone knows where I could get a set of 02 Special Edition wheels. Anyone know anyones whos selling them?

2. Front suspension sqeaking. Sounds like your bouncing around on an old matress... Any idea whats squeaking?

3. The air conditioner blows out cold air but has no force. I turn it on #4 and recycle the air but it still just barely comes out. And the openings at the feet harly let any air through. I can harly feel and air on my feet and the little bit I do feel almost feels warm . Could something have gotten in there and blocked the passage?

4. I haven't searched yet but I figure it's already been dicussed a billion times but I thought I'd ask to see if ther's a short quick answer. Could I bolt on a SOHC VTEC head on the stcok LX block? Would there be anything else I'd need to do beside wire it for VTEC?

Thanks

1. check the classifieds at the top, and make a WTB post

2. springs might be rusty

3. blower for the vents might be clogged

4. yes, but it requires additional oil lines, new ECU, etc, and a bit of work....and all for +12hp at the crank ...remember its SOHC, so its not m4d t1gHt JdM like DOHC Vtec

I'm not really looking for HP its just somethings been getting oil on one of the sprkplugs. I changed the gromets in the valve cover twice and it still gets in there, then I took it to a Honda dealer and they changed the gromets and its still doing the same thing. They had no explaination. Honda Dealers suck. Car has a rough idle and getting porr gas milage.

Figured i could find a cheap VTEC head and slap it on there if it wasn't too much work.

Default If it squeaks over low-speed bumps...

2. Check (or have checked) the front anti-sway bushings. Common on aged Hondas for them to noticably make a "squeak" or "scrunch" sound when going over speed bumps, driveway ramps, etc.

check for cracks or other signs of wear.

3. if you cant hear the blower, you might have a blown blower motor and that would....blow....ahem.

A mouse could build a pretty nice nest in the blower motor in 3 months time
