Sorry did a search about my situation, but not sure who has done this.......
Unfortunately, one of the middle valve cover nuts on the exhaust cam side was overtorqued when putting the valve cover back on, and the top half snapped where the valve cover nut screws onto it. Obviously, this is also the cam cap bolt.
I want to replace it.
Has anyone ever just taken just one cam cap bolt out, and replaced it without loosening all the other cam cap bolts and then doing a 2 step torque sequence for all the bolts?
Think itll snap if i just take that one out and tq the new one to spec?
18 ft/lbs i believe??
Do you use an inch/pound or foot/pound tq wrench?
Thanks

8mm bolts= 20 lb/ft
6mm bolts= 7.2 lb/ft
i would just take that one out and change it, i dont think it will throw anything out of wack.
for the 8mm bolts use foot/pound tq wrench
