Please help! Need pics of where to mount tach!
um well u can mount it on the classic left side, or on the right side in the middle of the dash, u can mount it down by your shifter, or u can mount it in the engine bay and run a shift light into the cabin
ok but it doesnt really fit do I have to mount it over the vent or what? Do I just start screwing it to the dash? I think that might look kinda ghetto.

Well you see I have a dx and they don't come with a tach...so I cant tell what my engines rpms are and that to me is important.

I'm sort of in the same situation, rockin' a CX w/o a factory tach. I'm considering just swapping clusters but A). an Autometer is more accurate and B). I don't want to lose the chassis mileage.

u dont loose the chassis mileage. my friend gave me a 5inch tach for my dx, but i hated the way it looked and it was too hard to mount anywhere. EX guage cluster is the way to go.

Well yeah you do. Granted I could make note of what the mileage is when I remove the cluster, and figure out the difference on the new cluster, but why do that when I can have a more accurate and more visible aftermarket tach?
I don't know about you, but for instance when I'm autocrossing, I don't have time to look down and see what RPMs I'm at.

nw.dave, you have obviously never changed out a guage cluster.
you're right, a 5 inch dash mounted tach is deffinately more visible.

No I haven't. How do you not lose the mileage?
