Default Apexi WS2

Hello all,

Just pne quick question:

Is the Apexi WS2 Catback Exhaust same as WS ?
I want to get an exhaust system that is not too loud. I heard the WS is very good. Saw a good deal on Apexi WS2 but dont know if it is the same.

Thanks,

TT

The WS2 is the second generation of the WS exhaust, supposed to be a little better then the original. Both are very nice exhausts tho, i wouldnt mind getting one over the other.

Installed the WS2 on my 98 ex about a month ago. Good exhaust. Original reportedly rubbed on the gas tank and I haven't had this problem on the 2. It is louder than stock at WOT, but has a better tone. Doesn't have that "bees in a can" sound. I think it is quieter than stock while cruising. The muffler and is stainless not all the piping.
I'd recommend it if your looking for something better than the stock system.

Yeah man...WS2 is a great exhaust...good deep sound at WOT and quiet at cruising. My friend has one and he's had nothing but great things to say about it.

415 shipped from a guy off of ebay. Titan motor sports fucked me the other day. I ordered it, and then a week later when it didn't come i emailed them. Then they decided to tell me that the exhaust was going to be coming from apexi in 1.5 to 2 weeks then it was going to be shipped to me, so i asked them to cancel the order. I got it a little cheaper off of ebay, and it will be at my door sometime this week or monday. I will let you know how it goes.

Also, has anyone used the silencer that can be added on to tone down the sound even more, and do you really gain torque from this addition.

I have the WS and I love it. It fits snug on my car and no more exhaust tickets.

I got the ws2 on my eg and it is one of the quietest ones out there to get. Has a deep rumble at WOT but normal cruising it is pretty quiet.

Also depends on what kind of motor you have too for noise level. If you got a B16 where the rpms are always high then it will be a little louder than a B18 where the rpms are lower.

But I like my ws2

To shead some light on your original question: The original WS was constructed from aluminized steel tubing and a SS exhaust can. The only change with the WS2 is that it is fully constructed from SS tubing and SS exhaust can.

I didn't see any on eBay but I got mine from OverBoost.com It was like $397 plus shipping. It was the cheapest I could find.

Mine will be quieter once I fix the problem of the exhaust flange hitting the heat shield.

Just wondering, but do you have a picture of it installed?

the one for the 92-95 Hatchback was design to use the cat. My car doesn't come with a cat (92 CX) in that position so I had to have cat made. I think it was the stock length though.
