Default sorry but i wanna ask where is the engine code?

alright this is my 1st Honda since 1996.. i know where it suppose to be,(where the tranny meets the block) but i seems cant find it in mine for some reason.

Its a 98 Hatch and i have no idea which engine is underthe hood.

p.s. do i need to remove the header shield thing to see it?, its the only place i didnt check.

The only way that motor would have been "vtec-ed" is if someone added a Y8, or Z6 vtec head to it. A quick way to check for that is look for the vtec soleniod.

I never seen a stamp like that before on a honda engine.

I thought he was looking in the wrong spot for the engine code.

B18C5/CR will fit in there with the right b series mounts.
